Kevin's AdventuresTravel, Adventures, Photos, Stories May 02 Moved! In case you happened to stumble across this site, I have moved! My new homepage is www.kevinlouie.com Thanks. On the MoveLet the adventure begin. Starting on May 9th, I will be on the move almost every single day until the end of the summer. I have decided to take this summer off and do some travelling since I probably will not have another opportunity like this ever again. I will have four months off until September in which I have secured a job with the government. The job is related to my program at Camosun College where I just finished my 8 month program with a Professional Accounting Certificate. It's funny how once you get older and start working there are a lot more responsibilities and tougher to get out and travel. I'm thankful for this opportunity and I hope I can share my adventures with you all. My adventures will start in Ottawa where Phebe's relatives are. We will then do a road trip all across North America visiting places like Niagara Falls, New York, Toronto, Banff, and whatever else in between. Phebe's parents are organizing the whole itinerary as I am just tagging along. Should be fun, I can't wait! April 18 Time of CelebrationI'm mid-way through my dreadful week of exams. Two down and two more to go. My last one is on tax which will be 8:30am on Saturday morning. What a way to start the weekend. I can't sleep in and no Saturday morning cartoons. Oh well, after this I will be finally done! I had a little break today as I went out for dinner with Phebe. Today is our 3rd year anniversary and tomorrow is her birthday. We went out to a small Vietnamese restaurant downtown and had a very nice dinner. When I said small, I mean small. For one thing, our waiter was so young that I think it'll be several fews from now until he can reach legal drinking age. He hardly said a word and was quite bashful. I asked if the portions were huge and all he could do was point at the menu. Anyways, you're probably wondering what I got Phebe for her gift. I decided to give her something special for our 3 year anniversary. After some feedback from a few friends and some research, I decided to give her a Creative Zen V Plus MP3 player. She loves music and this is something she'll enjoy for a long time. There were really good reasons why I didn't choose the "ipod". If you click on the link above, you'll know why. Anyways, she's quite happy with the gift and can't wait to play around with it. I wouldn't mind playing around with it myself April 02 A Wedding to RememberThe wedding that Phebe and I went to yesterday can almost be summed up in two words: "Short and Simple". It was a good thing we weren't late for the wedding or else we would've missed the whole ceremony! We were in and out in about 20 minutes flat! That's how weddings should be. A nice slideshow presentation, exchanging of vows, the kiss, and out the door! Jim and Nicole, after being labeled the "perfect couple" amongst all our peers, finally tied the knot. We all knew they were going to get married even before they did! |
